Scavenger fun!

To celebrate Saint Patrick’s day, the club kids went on a scavenger hunt. We had so much fun!!!
First finding the clues, then solving them, answering the riddles, completing the tasks… So much work, and such a good time!
Our "Super Trooper" teacher Laura made an incredible video to immortalize the moment.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Kids' feedback

The Nightmare before Christmas

Kids´Feedback

We learned a lot of vocabulary doing the play and also we made friends working in groups. We laughed a lot during the rehersals and we also really enjoyed making the backdrop together. We had to make a huge effort doing all the activities.

We loved watchng the play after it was edited by Laura Calvo. We laughed a lot because some people forgot their lines and said some words wrong. We also think we spoke too fast and rushed a bit. Some parts sounded squeaky too, which we think is really funny.

We hope to improve the next time we do a play or presentation. We want to speak more clearly and slowly. We also need to move more and maybe work at home too. We were very nervous but we think the next time will be easier because we will be more relaxed.

The Teachers' view

"The Gola Club is such a unique project that I'm very excited to be part of. To be able to teach children in such an unconventional way is very refreshing and is miles apart from regular class. It is our priority to provide the students with a foundation of structure but more importantly a great attitude towards learning the language. The club allows the children to work as part of a group, share bonds with classmates and this helps develop their social and communication skills. This is the beginning of a very exciting and fun project which I'm sure will have every success"

"When I first heard about the Gola Club I fell in love with the idea. It offers teenagers a different way to develop social skills in a foreign language; by working out their structure, comprehension and speaking abilities, through activities they really enjoy.  Our goal is to make them work as a team and feel involved in the project. This is their Club, and as so, we want them to feel free to take the initiative in everything they do. I am absolutely sure they will enjoy this adventure as much as I will"
